A DISPUTE between two families resulted in four men being bound to the peace at Wexford District Court last Thursday.

John O'Connor, Graiguemore, Bunclody; Michael Connors, 8 Ardcolm, Bunclody; Larry Connors, Hospital Hill, Bunclody, and William Redmond, Flat 2, 1 Rafter Street, Enniscorthy, were all charged with engaging in threatening and insulting behaviour, causing a breach of the peace at Bunclody on a date unknown between February 1, 2007, and March 17, 2007.

John O'Connor faced a further charge of causing damage to William Redmond's car at Carrigduff, Bunclody, on June 9, 2008.

Peter Crean, for John O'Connor, Michael Connors and Larry Connors, said his three clients' main interest is that they be left alone.

He asked Judge Donnchadh O Buachalla that William Redmond ensure that he or no member of his family contact any member of his clients' family.

William Redmond's solicitor ask that the same order be made of John O'Connor, Michael Connors and Larry Connors. Neither side expressed a desire to go into evidence in relation to the charges.

Judge O Buachalla ordered that each of the four defendants enter into a bond to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for two years, with the additional condition that both sides of the dispute keep away from each other.
