Ferns woman makes top ten in TV contest
'SIMPLY BE CURVY' MODEL SEARCH
DANICA NOLAN from Ferns enjoyed her spell in the spotlight as she emerged as a star of the search for Ireland's 'Simply Be Curvy' model on TV3.
The 26-year-old from Tinnacross was chosen to contest the from among 6,000 applicants to be featured on a 2013 spring/summer fashion catalogue.
The programme shot in association with the 'Xposé' followed 125 selected contestants as they were interviewed and photographed. The daughter of Thomas and Eileen Nolan, who works in Enniscorthy, made the cut into the top 20, which came with an invitation to fashion boot camp at the Gibson Hotel in Dublin.
She then made it through to the last ten, which opened the way to workshops with the likes of Celia Holman-Lee from the Holman Lee modelling agency and leading make-up artist Zoe Clark. The contestants also picked up tips from photographer Lili Forberg as well as hair stylist Michael Leong.
