GARDAI carrying out a planned search of a house in Oylegate village on Sunday night uncovered a quantity of different drugs.
Uniformed Gardaí and detectives carried out a search of the property in the village and came across a quantity of drugs, for the most part consisting of cannabis and cannabis plants.
While cannabis grow houses have become more common across the county, a Garda spokesman said that while there was 'some suggestion of that type of activity' the amount of drugs seized was not significant enough to lead them to believe that it was a major operation.
The occupants of the premises were arrested immediately by Gardaí and charged under the misuse of drugs act. A file is currently being prepared for the DPP.
