FAILURE to turn up to court to answer motoring charges resulted in Amy Kane (32) of 15 Seascapes, Ardamine, incur fines totalling €2,900 and a four year driving ban.She was stopped at Knockmullen, Gorey, on May 21 last. She was asked for her insurance and licence, and admitted she had no insurance, and the vehicle was seized.
She had one previous conviction for being the owner of a car driven without insurance.
Judge Gerard Haughton fined her €2,000 for driving without insurance, and banned her from driving for four years. For no licence, and failing to produce a licence or insurance, he fined her €300 in each case.
