WHAT: Vintage ploughing day WHERE: Carrigbeg, Craanford WHAT ELSE: PLOUGHMEN from near and far trundled along in their vintage tractors recently to Carrigbeg, Craanford, for the annual Craanford Heritage Club Vintage Ploughing Day.
While it wasn't a competition as such, there were judges on hand to chat to the participants, and with good conditions underfoot, the ploughing was good on the day.
There were around 20 participants, and the club was delighted with the support received on the day. A special thank you went to the ladies who provided the tea and refreshments on the afternoon, and the club also thanked all who attended on the day, and also those who helped out.
The Vintage Club's next big event is the annual Markie Doyle Vintage Road Run on Sunday, January 27 next in aid of North Wexford Hospice Homecare, and the members are looking forward to the usual fantastic support the event receives.
