Cousins Caoimhe O'Donohoe (6) from Hollyfort, and Jenna Cullen (9) from Ballycanew, recently returned to school at Gaelscoil Moshológ sporting a stylish new look.

They had been letting their hair grow for quite some time, and decided to make a change, and help two very good causes at the same time.

The team at Halford's Hair Studio generously donated their skills and time to calm the girls nerves as they faced losing 14 inches from their hair, but Maeve Halford and Elaine Ryan made sure they were left smiling afterwards with their stylish new bobs.

As well as donating the hair to the Rapunzel Foundation, which is the required length for making wigs for those living with hair loss, the girls also sought sponsorship from family and friends, and raised an impressive €750 for the Irish Cancer Society.

They sent a huge thank you to everyone at Halford's for their generosity and support, and to all who donated.
