Enniscorthy Community Workshop was happy to receive money on the double last week as a result of generous fund raising.
Margo Kehoe and Breda Coffey came to the workshop campus with the €2,500 which they collected by running a bazaar.
The proceeds will go into the fund for building a pre-school crèche for young children with special needs.
At present the crèche is in St. Anthony's Unit on the workshop campus, which was designed for adult service users. But planning permission has been obtained for separate premises to be constructed next door to the astroturf pitch in the AstroActive centre.
Also at CWCW with a big cheque was Oulart man John Joe Hyland who staged an open weekend at his garden nursery, bringing in a total of €1,540.
The money will be used to improve access for wheelchairs to all parts of the workshop complex through measures such as widening doorways.
