BUS Éireann has improved its Expressway Route 2 service between Wexford and Dublin Airport to include additional stops, new stop locations in Arklow and a quicker route through Dublin city centre.
The changes will come into effect from August 25. Operating times between Gorey and Arklow have also been changed to improve reliability for customers at these locations.
Route 2 will now stop at Beehive, Ballincor and Jack White's Cross eight times a day in each direction.
In addition, the service will now operate in Arklow from stops at Ferrybank, Main Street and Lidl to facilitate customers.
Clough will be served on all departures each way under the Route 2 timetable.
The departure time of the previous 6 a.m. X2 limited-stop service from Wexford has now been moved to 5.50 a.m to facilitate those travelling to work in Dublin.
The revised Route 2 will still have the fastest coach service available between Wexford and Dublin Airport of just 2 hours 45 minutes. It will also have a short journey time between Wexford and Dublin city (Custom House Quay) of just two hours 25 minutes.
Even shorter journey times will be available on the X2 service, which will take just two hours 10 minutes from Wexford to Dublin city and two hours 35 minutes to Dublin Airport. The X2 will operate daily from Wexford at 5.50am and from Dublin Airport at 5pm.
The revised Route 2 will operate 16 times a day in each direction with services starting from Wexford at 2 a.m. and departing Dublin Airport from 6 a.m.
