Final preparations are being made in Ferns this week for the third annual Bank Holiday Barn Dance, to be held there on Saturday night (August 3).
The venue once again this year is Bolger's Grain Store (on the road towards The Harrow - take the turn at Dunbar's pub on Main Street), and the whole hooley is set to run from 10 p.m. into the early hours of Sunday.
Music will be provided by Wexford band Point Blank, followed by DJ Seamus Long, while your entry fee of €15 per person all entitles you to barbecue food. There will be a bar extension with lots of special offers, and taxis will be available afterwards to get you home safely.
The Barn Dance is being organised by Ferns St Aidans GAA and camogie clubs. For more information, see 'Ferns GAA Barn Dance' on Facebook.
You can also use the Facebook page to get in touch if you have a group of at least ten travelling ot the Barn Dance, to arrange to have a bus pick you and your friends up for free. And even better, the person doing the arranging can get into the Barn Dance itself for free too!
Please note however that admission to the Barn Dance is restricted to over 18s only, and ID may be requested.
