Shaolin Masters return to Monart Desination Spa
The Shaolin masters have returned from the Far East to the Monart spa hotel near Enniscorthy offering guests of the five star hideaway a variety of workshops in tai chi, meditation, oi gong and kung fu. Master Haibo and Master Xu have arrived from China to begin a three month stay at the spa sharing their expertise in meditation and martial arts.
The pair from Henan province are graduates of the Shaolin temple, famous in northern China for it fighting monks. Their feats of strength, flexibility, and pain-endurance are spectacular but they also offer constructive advice on improving health and wellbeing through concentration on finding balance in life.
Their disciplines include oi gong, a series of eight ancient breathing exercises promoting health and longevity to unify body and mind.
The hotel's Liam Anthony Griffin welcomed the monks back to County Wexford: 'We are delighted to have the Shaolin masters at Monart, it is one of the highlights of our year here at the spa. Our guests love the opportunity to immerse and gain an insight into what is one of the world's oldest cultures.'
