Madonna's new album, MDNA, enters the British charts at number one, her 12th album to top the UK charts. Madge has now beaten Elvis's record of 11 numberone albums and becomes the most successful solo artist in the history of the UK charts.

The streets of Dublin will get 17 more stalls as the council gives vendors the green light to trade. Anything to make this country more attractive to tourists has to be a positive, especially if it means bringing prices down.

Daily Mail columnist Samantha Brick creates an internet storm by claiming she thinks other women are jealous of her beauty. She was merely saying out loud thoughts that many other people (though probably not in Ireland) keep hidden. Interesting piece.
