THE stage is set for Craanford Drama Group to again compete on the amateur drama circuit after a long absence. After a huge amount of preparations and rehearsals, the group is extremely excited to present its staging of the highly acclaimed Michael Carey comedy 'Thy will be done' on February 18 and 20 in Craanford Community Centre at 8 p.m.

Set in the West of Ireland twenty years ago, the play tells the story of brothers Jack and Peteen who had a bitter falling out over forty years previously.

As a result, Jack has been consigned to living in a converted cowshed. Local 'Home Help' Bridie Lavin does her best to care for the two brothers and stop them from killing each other. When Martin Griffin comes home from America to claim his inheritance, things take a dramatic turn and a long held secret comes out in the open. A mixture of sadness and fun, this gripping story is one not to be missed.

Under the directorship of Brendan Doyle, the play features a small cast of dedicated well known actors such as Pat Berney, Ger Doran, Brid Berney and Brendan Doyle.

The group are hoping the local community will really come out and support their efforts before they embark on the drama circuit, taking in festivals in Kilmuckridge, Kildare, Gorey and Carnew.

Tickets are priced at €8 for adults and €5 for children.
