CUALA are one game away from a third successive final after overcoming St Sylvesters second string at St Margarets on Thursday. The promotion of Alan Foy up to the senior squad has been a big loss for Brendan Carney's men but they will still feel they had the chances to win this game in the second half. They trailed by 0-9 to 0-3 at the break with Luke Keating registering a hat-trick of points for the Dalkey men. But with Alan Morris cancelling out the threat of Dublin's Michael Fitzsimons, Sylvester's clawed their way back into contention with Brian Shalloe featuring very well on his introduction. But despite scores from Alan Sexton, Kevin Clarke and Damien McMahon, Syls were unable to close the gap. They now turn their attentions back to the league where they face two tough games against St Monicas and Na Fianna, the latter many people's favourites to claim this year's championship.
