DAMIEN Fitzsimons delivered a man of the match display for Brigid's at Tom Russell Park last Sunday week as the home side came out on top in the Division 8 hurling league decider.With Brigid's looking to maintain their 100 per cent record, Pat's had their work cut out against a team inspired by Alan Thynne and Eoin Mulville in midfield. Nonetheless two frees from Niall O'Connor and point from Seanie McDermott left Donabate up by three before the prolific Neil Plunkett countered with frees of his own. A Noel Kidd point then drew Brigid's level with ten minutes to go in the half The two teams traded a point apiece after that with Cillian O'Riordan pointing for Donabate as the sides went in at half time level at four points apiece. O'Connor cancelled out a Brigid's score shortly after the resumption before Brigid's rattled off four points without reply including two from placed ball by Plunkett.
