SOME €300,000 has been awarded to Man O'War Gaelic FC on to build a new clubhouse facility as part of a major redevelopment of the club.The allocation under the sports capital grants initiative has been welcomed by Fine Gael TD Alan Farrell. The club applied for grant assistance for the building of a clubhouse, which will provide changing rooms facilities, indoor training, a social hall, meeting rooms, store rooms and bathroom facilities. Deputy Farrell said: ' The funding will allow the club to provide a new amenity for the greater Lusk, Rush, Balrothery and Balbriggan area and will be of real benefit to nearby schools Milverton and Hedgestown as well as local organisations and senior citizen groups. 'I am delighted this significant investment of €300,000 will allow the third phase of its development to take place, following the upgrading of the pitch and the development of a new all-weather pitch. 'Overall Fingal have received over €1 million in Sports Capital Grants in 2012. I am really pleased that there has been such a strong investment this year in local sporting facilities that will benefit communities and economies for years to come.'
