HYDE Park picked up an excellent away victory in awful conditions to move into the top four in the Sunday Major division.
The Balbriggan outfit were the stronger of the two sides int he early stages and deservedly got their noses in front following great work down the right flank from Ritchie Baxter.
He played a pinpoint ball into Ryan McMahon who in turn set up Fran McDonagh inside the box and he finished confidently from 10 yards out. Hyde went further in front when, following more excellent work in midfield, the ball ran through to McMahon who finished superbly from a tight angle. Ballyoulster started the second half very confidently and eventually pulled one back with half an hour to go, but that only encouraged Hyde to raise their game, with subs Paul O'Brien and Andrew McIntyre giving new impetus to the team. Indeed it was O'Brien who was involved in Hyde's final goal when, following a great move down the left involving Domo Buckley and Darren Sweetman, the latter was hacked down for a stone-wall penalty.
Art Daly slotted home to confirm three points for Hyde, whose best players on the day were Collins, Geary and Sweetman. HYDE PARK: Adrian Harford, Domo Buckley, Jason O'Weill, David Geary, John Richardson, Richie Baxter (Alan Martin), Richie Collins (Paul O'Brien), Art Daly, Darren Sweetman, Ryan McMahon, Fran McDonagh (Andrew McIntyre).
