Rampant Ryan puts Rangers in seventh heaven

Rivervalley's Michael Kinahan shows his Glebe North opponent a clean pair of heels.

RYAN Kinahan scored a superb hat-trick in a fantastic Rivervalley Ranger display in this NDSL Under-10 Premier clash at Pump Lane.

Rangers started strongly and hit the bar early on through Robert McGlynn after some fine link up play down the right by Cian Nolan and Mayowa Adedokun. However, Glebe caught the away team on the break to take the lead against the run of play. The equaliser came almost instantly after Kinahan fed Adedokun through the middle and he placed his shot calmly into the bottom corner. The second and third goals followed in quick succession and both were scored by Kinahan. The first came right from the back as keeper Riain Fagan played it short to Dean Rooney, who laid a neat ball through to Adedokun in centre midfield. He beat his man before finding Kinahan on the left. He in turn drifted by his marker and around the last defender before coolly slotting a left foot shot low into the net on the keeper's right hand side. Rivervalley continued to keep the pressure on as Evan Gilrory found Robert Reitmajer on the right. His quick through ball found Kinahan on the edge of the box and he cheekily chipped it over the oncoming keeper. And then just before the break Adedokun and Kinahan linked up again to feed Josh Lindsey, who took on his man at the edge of the box before drilling his shot in low and hard at the near post. Rangers' swift passing continued after the break as Sean Clifford, Gilroy and Nolan all went close early on. Indeed it was Nolan who grabbed the fourth after some great work by Gilroy down the left. He played a neat one-two with McGlynn before whipping a dangerous cross over that hit the bar and dropped to Nolan who smashed his shot into the net from six yards. Gilroy himself then got on the scoresheet and more good work by Reitmajer and Kinahan found Gilroy on the edge of the box and he curled his shot into the corner to make it six. Kinahan then rounded off his hat trick with another move that started right from the Valley keeper. Michael McGreal had taken over in goal and laid the ball off to Clifford who found Gilroy in the middle. He found Kinahan out on the left who immediately switched it to Reitmajer on the right wing. He beat his man and cut the ball back to Kinahan who had continued his run to the edge of the box and he left the keeper with no chance as he rounded the scoring off to give Rangers a comfortable win. RIVERVALLEY RANGERS: Riain Fagan, Michael McGreal, Dean Rooney, Sean Clifford, Robert McGlynn, Evan Gilroy, Robert Reitmajer, Cian Nolan, Mayowa Adedokun, Ryan Kinahan, Josh Lindsey.
