Sacred Heart were quick out of the blocks and dominated the first 15 minutes, but the home side then took control of the match and grabbed the lead on 22 minutes with a goal by Kieran McKittrick. They then netted a second on the halfhour through Rashad AlHarazy. Then with three minutes remaining in the half Rashad scored his second with what could be a contender for goal of the season. It was non-stop entertainment at this stage and after two great saves from Barry Turner kept Loughshinny in front, Scott Penco wrapped up the points with their fourth goal in the 90th minute.
