IT was a good day for the Swords Celtic's under 18s and 19s with the former picking up their first win of the season against Maynooth on Sunday.Swords had led at the break from a Kevin Haskins goal before Maynooth equalised at the third attempt after the Celtic 'keeper had pulled off two fine saves. However, Swords' persistence was to pay off when Glynn Higgins scored a late winner. Meanwhile, in the DDSL the under 18s made it three wins form three with a 4-1 win over Esker to move them to second in the table. Elsehwere, the under 19's recorded a 4-2 win away to Kilnamanagh despite falling behind to an early headed goal. However, Jamie Hoare drew Swords level just before the break before a fortunate rebound restored Kilnamanagh's lead shortly after the restart. However, a well taken strike from an acute angle from substitute Paul Kenny levelled proceedings and then from a Gary Bohen free kick, Jamie Hoare added his second with Gavin Purcell rounding off the scoring for the visitors.
