JAPANESE Formula 3 race-winner Gary Thompson last week completed a two-day test with SGC by KCMG in Formula Nippon machinery, as the Donabate ace took to the Fuji Speedway circuit to round off his season.
The Aviation Display and Cebu Pacific Air backed youngster was presented with the opportunity to test the Formula Nippon after his strong showing in the 2012 Japanese Formula 3 Championship, which saw him establish himself as a key front-runner in the series. Thompson conducted a series of set-up and development work with SGC by KCMG over the twoday period, edging just outside the top 10, whilst also impressing the team with the feedback that he was able to provide. 'I'd like to say a big thank you to SGC by KCMG for giving me the opportunity to test over the two days,' said Thompson. 'I really enjoyed myself and it has been a great experience for me as a driver. 'I hope it has helped the team with the set-up and development of the car. It's certainly a car that I want to race in the future.'
