Forrest Little Golf Club staying 'putt'
AFTER months of speculation Forrest Little Golf Club has confirmed that they will not be relocating.
The club, which is located between Swords village and Dublin Airport, will not be moving from their present location and are open for business.
The official statement from the golf club which hosts a mature parkland 18 hole golf course is that despite rumours, it is not moving.
'There had been rumours going around that we were moving to St Margaret's Golf Club as it is up for sale but despite making an offer, we are not moving,' confirmed Paddy Maguire of Forrest Little Golf Club.
Founded in 1940 and designed by Fred Hawtree, Forrest Little Golf course presents a superb test to golfers of all levels. Noted for its tree lined fairways, lush vegetation and sand based greens Forrest Little played host to multiple GUI Tournaments and was for many years a qualifying course for the Irish Open.
'The news that we are not moving will delight all golfers, prospective members and the people of Swords in general as it ensures the continued existence of this golfing gem on their doorstep,' he added.
The club has confirmed they are 'very much open for business'.
