Clann Mhuire

The club is seeking candidates to fill the vacant position of manager for our AFL 3/Intermediate football team. Any interested parties can contact 087-2697391 to discuss the vacancy in confidence. Best of luck to Cian and Ciaran on their travels. The Intermediates and Juniors train on Tuesday and Thursday this week, starting at 7.30pm. Fingallians

Membership is now due for all members before the end of the month. Applications are available on www.fingallians.com or at the club bar. There was a double for the club at the Fingal Independent Awards over the weekend. AnneMarie Torsney won the Young Sport Star award and Catherine Walsh collected the main prize. Well done to our Under-16s who will now play in Division 1 and the Under-15s who will play in Division 2 for 2013 in football. The lotto can now be done on line via www.fingallians.com. Last week's jackpot winner picked his numbers on line - please spread the word. The first Coaching Forum of 2013 will take place in the club on Friday 25th January from 9 - 10.30pm, the agenda as follows: 1. Intro 2. Coaching update & requirements 2013 - Nicola Fitzgerald 3. Importance of planning - Ger O'Connor. 4. Key requirements for a senior footballer - Seán O'Toole. 5. Football Practical - Focus on 1st touch & quick hands. 6. Hurling Practical - Focus on 1st touch 7 high catching. The second and third football teams are back training every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm. Fingal Ravens

We are holding a meeting for all managers, mentors and selectors of all teams, Adult and Juvenile, this Friday at 7.30pm in the Arkle Suite of Kettles Hotel. It is vital that all managers, mentors and selectors attend this important meeting, and at the very least one representative from the management team of each of our club teams (Adult and Juvenile) should attend. Congratulations to our U-14s who won the final of the Olafs tournament on Saturday. Membership for 2013 is now due and membership forms are available on our website, www.fingalravens.com, or at the clubhouse. As agreed at the agm all members must have their membership paid in full by 31st March. If any member would like to pay by instalments they must have their last instalment paid by 31st March. Only fully paid-up members can travel to Ventry in February for the Páidí Ó'Sé tournament. Instead of holding a formal dinner dance we are having a club social night with a barbecue on Friday 1st February in Kettles Country House Hotel. On the day we will have our player of the year presentations, minor league winners presentations and a presentation to Mick Deegan, and we encourage all members to come along. Lotto numbers last week were 4, 32, 34 and 35, with no jackpot winner, while €20 went to Kenny McDonagh, Declan O'Brien and Tom McGrath. This week's jackpot is now worth €5,154.

Man O War

These are the first club notes of 2013, so Happy New Year and welcome back to all of our players and mentors who returned to training last week and to those who will return this week. Anyone interested in participating in a level 1 coaching course which takes place on 23rd and 24th February should contact Cyril on 086-2367889 or email info@manowargfc.com. Our AGM takes place next Monday at 8pm at a venue to be confirmed. Keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter for the venue. All club members are encouraged to attend the agm. Round Towers Lusk

The Nursery resumes next Saturday from 10.45 - 11.45 and caters for boys and girls aged between three and seven years old in both Gaelic Football and Hurling/Camogie, with a small cost of €2. Our Juvenile teams will also participate in the Gormanston Indoor Hurling tournament which kicks off on Sunday. Bingo has recommenced each Monday night from 8.30, with the book costing €8 and spot prizes each week. All are welcome to attend. Our lotto will also recommence this Thursday, and tickets are available from the usual sources. Entertainment in the bar this Saturday will be provided by Fifty 50, a new band to play in the club, and it promises to be a good night. Don't forget to put Saturday 13th April into your diaries when Strictly Come Dancing comes to Lusk.

St Finian's Swords

Annual membership fees are now due and can be paid by downloading the membership form from the 'Download' section of the club website, www.stfinians.com and then returning it to the club office. Tickets for the Mock Wedding are available from Warren Hanley, Maree McDonagh or any committee member. Deposits are required in order to reserve your ticket and weekly instalments can also be made. Our ladies football team are looking for some additional players for the coming year. Please contact Brian Fetherston (0866041200) if you know anybody interested in joining the team. Operation Transformation kicked off last week and evening walks are organised each night, Monday to Friday, at 8.15pm from outside the clubhouse. Morning walks will start at 9am from the clubhouse. The club are looking to purchase an additional defibrillator and are looking to see if there are any likely sponsors who could help fund this unit. If you know of anyone that would be interested in sponsoring please contact any committee member. Numbers drawn in the latest lotto were 2,12, 21, 24 and the winners of the €50 tickets for the Mock Wedding were The Maxwell family and Terry O'Leary. This week's jackpot is at €8,600.

St Maurs

Congratulations to Maurs' very own Vinny Whelan who played in goal for the Dublin senior football team for the second time this year when they played Wicklow at the weekend. Good luck to Naomi Clare who got through to the next phase of the U-16 Dublin trials and is back up on Sunday morning in Clan na nGael. Juvenile training is back this week, while registration is open for 2013 online or will be taken at the club on Saturday next from 11am to 1pm. The Gormanston Indoor Hurling tournament starts on Sunday the 20th - contact your mentors for details. Bookings for the new, refurbished bar are starting to build up already for 2013, so get in early if you have a function or occasion in mind as even April and May are looking congested at this stage. St Maurs' club bar will be open on Sundays from 1.30pm for the foreseeable future. There was one lucky winner of the club lotto jackpot of €11,500 - Betty Keane. The all-important numbers were 1, 7, 17, 20 and this week's jackpot will revert to €2,000. Skerries Harps

Membership and Player Injury Fund fees are now due and may be paid on line or to club registrar John Halpin. Fees are unchanged from 2012 and details are on the club website - skerriesharps.ie. The Adult meetings will resume this Thursday night at 9.30 and Juvenile meetings will resume on Thursday January 24th at 9pm sharp. The Football Academy returns next Saturday at 10am, with registration in the clubhouse on Thursday at 7pm. The Hurling/Camogie Academy will play in the Gormanston Indoor series from January 20th - forms on the website. A reminder to parents that mouthguards must be worn by all juvenile football players up to Minor level. Mouthguards are available locally in SuperValu. Zingo result: 7-4-6-2-3-1-5. There was no winner of the jackpot, which now stands at €3,000. Wild Geese

The Junior footballers are back training on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7.30. The hurlers will go back later. RUGBY

Ashbourne

The club has three senior fixtures this coming weekend. On Friday the 3rds visit Boyne in a McGee game, with a kick off at 8pm, and on Sunday Ashbourne visit Longford for two games. The 2nd XV kick off at 1pm, while the 1st XV follow on at 2.30. Ashbourne are hosting a preladies Six Nations game against Spain on Sunday next which will also be refereed by club referee Helen O'Reilly. It kicks off at 1pm and it is free at the gate. This is a great achievement for the club and one we are proud of. The club also will be hosting the two Six Nations games. The England game has been confirmed for Saturday 9th February with a 2pm kick-off and details of the France game are not available as of yet, but it will be a Friday night match in March. Adult team training at Ashbourne continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm and is open to all newcomers. Come and join one of the most progressive clubs in the area. The club has a strong team of referees, but if you have an interest in becoming involved in refereeing we would love to hear from you and will discuss the opportunities as well. Without referees there will be no rugby. Our Youths and Minis have started back and meet on Sundays at 11.30am, and all are welcome at the club grounds. Following on a successful year last season there is a wide range of teams and our development programmes are geared towards developing all types of players. They are fielding all the way up to 17s and new members are always welcomed. Our underage girls rugby teams train on Wednesdays at 7pm. We are fielding at two age groups - Under-14 and Under-16 - and all new players are welcome. The club is delighted to have two girls selected for the Leinster Under-19 panel and we wish Ruth Moore and Deirdre Kennedy the best of luck in this venture.
