Lusk - Congratulations to the Lusk athletes who turned out on Sunday in the rain to compete in the Dublin Even-age Cross-Country Championships.
This was cross-country running at its toughest, but the 16 athletes did themselves and the club proud. The Under-10 Girls team of Megan Clarke, Cara and Laoise McNally, Katie Halpin, Grace McKenna, Aoife and Therese Lewi and Aisling Tcheutchoua did very well. Nelda Tcheutchoua and Caoimhe NiMhadagin had a very tough race at Under-12, as did Tara Gleeson at Under-14. In the Boys Under-10 event Kyle Nangle and Killian Skelly ran excellently. Tadhg Donnelly made his debut at Under-12, Dylan Cody-Foy continued his strong performance at Under-14 level and so too did Darren Ryan in the longest race of the day, at Under-16. The last Dublin cross-country race takes place on Saturday next in Marlay Park for the uneven ages. Many thanks to all the parents and supporters who turned out at the weekend to help the athletes, and make the day so memorable for them. Congratulations to Ian and Muriel Byrne, Colm McNally, Linda McNally, Carina O'Donnell, Frankie Hollands, Mary Ryan, Ger Doran, Noel Shields, Annemarie Codd, Robert Naughton, Paula Fitzsimons, Paul McCloskey and others on completing the Dublin City Marathon.
