Entertaining Division 3 match.
The first team drew with Castleknock away last Saturday in a highly entertaining Division 3 league match. The second team drew with Scoil Ui Chonaill away last Sunday in a Division 9 league match.
The St. Peters U16 team had a great win last Tuesday evening away to St. Marys of Saggart.
The U13 St. Peters team resume playing after the summer break with a home league match (in Ballyboughal) against Skerries Harps seconds this Saturday 24th August at 3pm.
Thanks to all who played in and helped to organise the club golf classic which was held last Friday in Ashbourne golf club. A special thanks to Liam and Lar for all their hard work in organising the event.
Strictly Croke Park is being held on Saturday the 5th of October. The dancers have now been confirmed. Tickets will be available for sale shortly for the event. Check out Ballyboughal GFC on Facebook for more information.
What a week for the club! Junior Footballers make it to the Championship final; Senior footballers beat Ravens in the league: U10 girls festival is an outstanding success & U13 girls win Sheridan Cup in Erin's Isle tournament.
The Kellogg's Cúl Camp is taking place all this week 10am-2pm. This is a combined camp of football & hurling. It cost €55 per child, €45 for the second and €40 for 3rd/4th. Anyone wishing to register please can they contact Nicky - Nicola.email@example.com or pop down the club at 9.30am.
Our Junior Ladies are next up in Championship action playing this Wed at 7.30pm away to Craobh Chiaráin.
Championship Final Double: Our Junior Footballers will play Whitehall Colmcille & our Senior Ladies will play Na Fianna. Dates and Venues to follow on both finals.
Our U10 girls hosted our Féile Peil na mBan Faoi 10 on Saturday 17th. The festival was a great success with clubs coming from counties Down, Louth, Meath, Wicklow and Dublin. Exceptional football was displayed by all. The players and mentors of the Under 10 Girls would like to sincerely thank everybody that helped make the day so memorable. Maith sibh!

Well done to Katherine Markey who won bronze at the 100M & 200M & Dolores Evans won Gold at the Hammer & Discus and Silver at the 100m, 200m & Shot Putt. Both were taking part in the Masters Track & Field in Tullamore.
Well done to David Markey winning, President Day in Forest Little on Friday. 2nd Shay Manton, 3rd Paul O'Neill. The winning visitor was John Manton. The next outing is the Big One, Captains Day in Ashbourne on 20th Sept. (further details to follow)
The Great Trans-Hibernian Cycle - A number of Fingallians members are currently preparing a plan to cycle from Fingallians GAA Club to St. Feichin's GAA Club, Clifden, Co. Galway (300km) over 2 days next May Bank Holiday Weekend 2014. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.

We would like to thank everyone who supported our annual Golf Classic which took place in Swords Open, also a huge thanks to our Golf Committee for all the hard work that they put in to organising this fundraising event.Well done to Bernadette Kavanagh who was announced as the new Lord Mayor of Rolestown at the Lord Mayor's Ball recently, the club would like to thank the 3 candidates; Bernadette Kavanagh, Christine Keane and Willie Bell for all the hard work that they put in to their various fundraisers since the launch back on St. Patricks Day and to thank everyone who supported those fundraisers.

The club runs a Nursery every Saturday morning from 10.45am-12pm, which resumes this Saturday morning. We cater for boys and girls aged between 3-7 years old in both Gaelic Football and Hurling/Camogie with a small cost of €2.

Results: Thomas Ash 1-8 CuChulainn U16's 5-14: CuChulainn followed up their good win against Fingal Ravens with a comprehensive 20 point win away to Thomas Ash which was League and Cup double up leading by 18 points at halftime. Main scorers were Cormac Howley (2-6) and Cillain Kiernan with (1-3). Man of the Match Cormac Howley and Eoin Gaffney.
On Tuesday the club lost a treasured member, former player and all round gent, Thomas (Tucker) Foran. Tucker's funeral afters were held here in the clubhouse and in what started out as such a sad occasion turned into a wonderful tribute to the man, it wasn't a mourning of a death, it became a celebration of a man's life who we shall all miss. We would like to thank everybody who came to pay their respects, David Thomas for the catering and especially Dale Tynan who played music and tributes to tucker well into the evening. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. R.I.P. Tucker gone but never forgotten.
As a mark of respect to Tucker and the Foran Family our game on Thursday against O'Dwyers was called off.
Although we were all still in mourning, on Sunday the adult team, including Tucker's son Ritchie decided to play their biggest game of the season to date against AIB in the semi-fFinal of the Championship at home in Balheary and to dedicate their performance to the memory of Tucker. The team did not disappoint and their was a record number of supporters on the sideline , it wasn't any easy match but Cilles came out victors with a winning scoreline of 3-8 to 0-15.
The club was also saddened this week to hear of the passing of Mary Cogley, who's partner, children and grandchildren are all heavily involved in the club. The Club would like to extend it deepest sympathy and thoughts and prayers to both families at this time. RIP Tucker and Mary.
Adult training this week takes place on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm. New players always welcome.

The players would like to thank all the supporters for their continued support at their games, seeing the supporters on the sideline and hearing the encouragement from the supports has been a great boost for the players, they hope to see you all again at the next two matches.
Juvenile training will resume this Saturday at 12pm. We now have the core of a team just need a few more kids to bulk up the squad. If you have yet to register your child feel free to drop down to us any Saturday all welcome. Congratulations to Melly Lowndes who was voted in as the Captain of the Pool Team for the upcoming season. There are still a couple of places available on the team, if you are interested in joining the team apply in the clubhouse bar. The new season will start at the end of September.
The winning number in the Juveniles Bonus Ball draw was 10 – a nice €60 for one lucky person. There is a sheet behind the bar in the clubhouse, for €2 you predict the bonus ball in Saturday's main lotto draw, with a guaranteed winner of €60
Last weeks Lotto numbers were (Draw 1) 6, 10, 16, 19 and (Draw 2) 5, 18, 21, 25. There were two €100 winners in each draw and that will remain the case until one of the two €10,000 jackpots is won. Envelopes are available in the Clubhouse, the Estuary Pub, the Harp Bar and the Pound Pub.

The summer members draw will take place on Friday 30th of August, 1st prize €1000, 2nd prize €400, 3rd prize €100, 4th prize €100 5th prize €50, 6th prize €50 tickets are €10 each and are available from Piero Thomas, Neal Howard or in the Clubhouse .
As part of the "Gathering 2013" The Club is planning to hold a Dinner Dance in the Clubhouse on Saturday 9th of November. We would hope as many of our former and current membes will be able to attend. Further details will be available on our Facebook page and on our website.
We had a huge number of children taking part in our Summer Camp last weekwhich ended a visit from Dublin Senior Hurler Liam Rushe on Friday. Liam presented medals, posed for photos and signed a huge number of autographs.
We have the Kelloggs Cul Camp this week and again the River Valley pitches will be filled with budding GAA stars.

The Lotto jackpot was €1,900 and the numbers drawn were 3, 15, 23 and 24. There was no winner. The €50 winners were Patrick Hattie and Jim McGrath. Next week's jackpot will be €2,000.

The footballers are at home to Lucan Sarsfield at 5pm on Saturday and our adult hurlers are away to Contarf in the Championship in St. Annes Park on Sunday at 11am.
The Annual Christine Bollard Tournament takes place Sat next 24th August. Come up and support and anyone around to give a dig out please let Clare, Cindy or Graine Clare know...always a great day. We are running it at U15s this year.
Well done to all parents, mentors and players who helped out on the juvenile bag pack on Friday and Saturday in Tesco. Great support from all teams and although not all the money is counted yet it looks like we'll reach the target.
Next up for the juvenile section is next weeks hurling camp, which starts Tuesday at 10 and registration will be taken on the day.
Juvenile matches for U8-12 groups start back on August 31
St. Maur's Annual 10k run will be held on Sunday 1st September at 2pm. The run will take in two of the beach's in the town which makes the event one of the most scenic circuits around.
Club Camp Hurling - Tuesday 20th August to 23rd August - Dublin Hurlers and Camogie coaches will be present at the camp. Contact Claire , the Club or register on the day.
There will be Bingo next Sunday as usual and the club. Lotto will be held as usual on Sunday night as well.

Our top two adult football teams playing in divisions, one, and three are both leading their league tables and the junior A team moved up to joint leaders in division six with a win on Saturday.
With just a few games left to play we are in for some exciting matches over the coming weeks. The individual management teams deserve great praise for their effort, commitment and cooperation in pooling resources.
The seniors lost on Saturday to Ballymun on a score of 0-11 to 1-17 but still retain the top spot. A very impressive Ballymun got off to a great start and we were always chasing the game. St Brigit's are second in the table on the same points with a game in hand. We have two games left to play. First up is an away fixture with Ballyboden on Saturday August 31st and then home to Lucan Sarsfields on Saturday September 14th.
The intermediate football team are also heading the league table on score difference. It is very tight at the top here with three teams on the same points. They had another convincing victory over Clann Na Gael on Saturday night in Broomfield on a score of 3-13 to 0-5. This margin of victory could be very important in deciding the eventual winners. They have two games left. They play St Brigit's away on Saturday August 31st at 18.00. Their last match is the crucial top of the table clash with second placed Naomh Barrog at home in Broomfield on Saturday September 14th also at 18.00.
The junior A football team are joint leaders in their league after defeating Civil Service by 10 points to 5 points. They have four games left to play including a home match against league leaders St Vincent's.
The junior B football team had a number of very narrow defeats losing by a point to Erin's Isle and by a goal to Parnells and Ballyboughal. They have five games left to play and should move up the table.
Niamh Harney, Ciara Lynch and the Dublin Minors lost out to Galway in a heart breaking finish with Galway getting a very late goal, six minutes into extra time to claim victory.
The All Ireland Ladies senior football quarter final between Cork and Dublin take place in St Brendan's Park, Birr, County Offaly next Saturday August 24th at 14.15. The under 16 All Ireland Final between the same two teams will follow at 16.00.
The Junior footballers sponsored by McMeel's Pharmacy drew with Clontarf in the league on Sunday morning. Next Sunday the Junior Hurlers play Realt Dearg in quarter final of Championship at home at 3pm. Good luck to U10 and U11 Hurlers who play in the Camaint finals on Sat 24th, and to Lyndsay Davey for Dublin footballers v Cork the same day.

Pre-season training is in full flow on Tuesday and Thursdays with conditioning training on Wednesdays. All new members are welcome and we look forward to seeing all our old members returning. Our seconds played a training match last Saturday against Guinness and ran out winners 49 points to 19 at Ashbourne.
A first team selection plays Dundalk in the McGowan Cup next Friday the 23rd at Dundalk with a 8.00pm kick off.
Planning for the annual golf classic which takes place at our neighbours facility at Ashbourne GC on Friday August 30th. With 27 teams participating last season the club organisers Robert Grimes (087 2998846) and Mick Flynn (086 8110163) hope to see this grow this year to 35 teams and are working hard to do this. With the golf club in great condition it should be a great day out. They are also looking for tee sponsors and any help that a our supporters can give. The funds go to the development of the mini and youth infrastructure in the club and with over 400 boys and girls playing rugby at the club it is really well spent. It is our main fundraiser every season. These kids are the future of the club and the club would welcome the ongoing support!

We have joined with Ratoath RFC to field an under 19's this season so if there is anybody out there who wants to play at this age level, come on over and meet with the coaching team and get involved on the above nights or you can contact David O'Brien at 087 0601539. Training rotates between both locations so contact Dave if interested in joining. It is open to new members.
