IN a week which saw Skerries Harps move a step closer to securing a semi-final berth in the championship, Mick Geoghegan's men maintained their unbeaten run in Division 6 with a 2-15 to 2-13 win over Kilmacud Crokes on Sunday.
Despite missing some key players the home side showed they had the legs on their youthful opponents as they put over two late points to make it four wins from four.
Crokes certainly made the most of their scoring opportunities in the first half which saw the two teams go in level at 1-9 each.
Ciaran Smith found the back of the net for the home side on fifteen minutes, and the centre forward showed his midas touch again after the break when he beat the keeper with a defiant finish.
Still, with three minutes to go it was all-square before Daniel Graham ran on to a through ball from Shane Rice before converting over the bar. from the ensuing puck out, Jack Caroll sent over the winning point.
Best for Skerries on the day were James O'Callaghan, who was excellent at centre back, while Eoghan McGinley gave an imperious display in midfield.
Daniel Graham, who came through the minors last year, shone at full forward while Robbie O'Connor was another who featured well at corner back.
