THERE was good news for Dublin football as three-in-a-row All Star Paul Flynn returned to competitive action at the weekend.

Flynn, having sat out Dublin's last two league clashes, lined out at centre forward for Fingallians who, as in their previous game against Skerries Harps, were slow to get off the mark in this game at Lawless Park.

In a repeat of the 2011 promotion play-off final, Fingallians conceded an early penalty in an incident which also saw Neil Dawson black-carded.

And already without two first-choice defenders in Ciaran Costello and David Fagan, Fingallians went in at half time trailing by 2-4 to 0-7.

However, led by Mark Gibson, they were to put together a sequence of eight unanswered scores and in fact had two chances to seal victory before O'Tooles popped up with the equalising score in injury time.

FINGALLIANS: Mark Gibson 0-8, Donal Farrell, Ciaran McLoughlin 0-2 each, Paul Flynn, Darragh Deasy 0-1 each.
