Davy Fitz the bill for Geese

CLARE hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald (pictured above) will be in Oldtown on Wednesday week, July 31st, to train Wild Geese.

The progressive club was recently selected for the Underdogs segment of John Murray's RTE radio 1 show, which came on the back of an acclaimed book on the club, 'There is an F in hurling', a 'warts and all' account of life in the GAA's Junior ranks.

Now on its second edition the book has been a huge commercial succes with all the proceeds going to juvenile hurling in the club.

And the Geese have pulled off another major coup with the news that Fitzgerald, whose Clare team have made it through to the All Ireland quarter finals, will take a training session next Wednesday between 6.30-8.30pm.

Anyone interested in witnessing this novel occasion is welcome.
