RELIEF could be on the way for residents of Balbriggan Cottages who have difficulty accessing the road and leaving their homes at peak times in the morning.
Cllr Brian McDonagh (Lab) raised the issue with the council and asked for a yellow box to be provided opposite the cottages, to facilitate residents.
The council's traffic section responded,: 'The junction of Balgriffin Cottages and Balgriffin Road was assessed during peak hours.
'Traffic did build up from the traffic lights at the Malahide Road junction blocking the exit from Balgriffin Cottages.
'The provision of a yellow box is recommended for this junction. Approval for same has been sought from An Garda Siochana.'
A MAN charged with using threatening and abusive behaviour in a Balbriggan estate has been remanded on continuing bail for his case to be heard in September.
Martin Daly (24) of Curran Park in Balbriggan is alleged to have committed the offence on June 13th at Curran Park.
Defence counsel Patrick Jackson requested a date for hearing the case and Judge Dermot Dempsey remanded Daly on continuing bail to re-appear before Balbriggan District Court on September 26th when the case is expected to be heard.
A MAN who is alleged to have breached a safety order is to have his case heard in September.
Cecil Bosonnet (59) of Curran Park in Balbriggan is alleged to have breached a safety order on April 21st.
Bosonnet's solicitor requested Judge Dermot Dempsey to fix a date for the hearing of the case which Judge Dempsey fixed for September 26th at Balbriggan District Court.
A WOMAN charged with a drink driving offence had her case adjourned until September. Valerie Dalton (52) of Hasting's Green in Balbriggan is alleged to have been drink driving at Castlemills in Balbriggan on July 27th.
Judge Dermot Dempsey remanded the accused on continuing bail to re-appear before Balbriggan District Court on September 11th.
