ONE of the county's most popular charities, special needs club, Remember Us, are looking for some brave women to step forward and run the Women's Mini-Marathon for this great local cause.
Remember us are looking for as many ladies as possible to participate in the Women's Mini-Marathon to raise much needed funds in aid of the group.
The race takes place on Bank Holiday Monday June 2 so there's plenty of time to get fit for the big day.
A spokesperson for Remember Us said: 'Start asking your family and friends to participate on our behalf. Any female over 16 is eligible. We have started our walk and jog mornings and evenings to get us all fit for the event.
'They take place every Tuesday evening 7.30pm and every Thursday morning 10.30am. Meet point is the church car park in Balbriggan for both sessions.'
Online and postal entry for the event is now open and those participating will need to register on www.florawomensminimarathon.ie or get the entry form in the Evening Herald.
Remember Us will also be providing club t-shirts and transport on June 2 to take all who are participating to and from the event.
So come on ladies dust off those runners and go along and get fit, have some fun, make new friends while raising much needed funds for this vital group.
Please confirm if you are interested in representing the charity in the event by calling Nora or Anne from Remember Us on 086 0457003.
