Warrant issued for theft-accused

A MAN who failed to appear before Balbriggan District Court to answer charges of theft has had a bench warrant issued against him.

Terence Maughan of Dun Faithne in Balbriggan is alleged to have stolen a Bartel Power float valued at €1,450 and a Metrix Plate Compactor valued at €1,250 from HRE 2 K Business Park in Dunshaughlin on September 18 2008. He is also charged with allegedly giving a false name, driving with no insurance and no driving licence on August 26 at Moylara Road in Balbriggan. Judge Dermot Dempsey issued the warrant after 30-yearold Maughan failed to appear in court.
