Tributes paid to outgoing Cllr Kieran Dennison

OUTGOING mayor Cllr Kieran Dennison received tremendous tributes from colleagues and council management as he stepped down from office.

County Manager Paul Reid said he had represented the council in an exemplary manner and that he had become the benchmark on which all mayors would be judged.

'You carried out your work very well and in a very professional manner and you stuck to protocol and procedures in a very fair way.

He said his contribution to community events had been exemplary and that his participation in events, day or night, had been fantastic.

He pointed out that Cllr Dennison had taken part in the Fingal legends event, as well as the Darkness into Light event for Pieta House.

Mr Reid then presented Cllr Dennison with a gold medal representing his participation in the Fingal Legends and a photo album.

Cllr Mags Murray said that Cllr Dennison had brought 'professionalism, absolute energy and enthusiasm' to the job.
