THERE were scenes of jubilation and celebration in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham at the weekend following the National Lottery's 25th Anniversary Prize Giveaway Draw, as a number of winners from Fingal, along with 95 others, won a total prize fund of €1 million in a draw hosted by Marty Whelan and Jedward.
Sean Griffin from Rush won €6,000, as did Sergejs Maskalekno from Swords, while Donda Mendis from Malahide won a VW Jetta, worth €25,000. The 100 lucky winners won their place at the draw throughout the month of August when, as part of the National Lottery's 25th Anniversary celebrations, players were invited to send in their non-winning tickets. On four consecutive Fridays, a preliminary draw took place in National Lottery offices in which 25 entries were drawn to attend the National Lottery's 25th Anniversary Prize Giveaway Draw in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. The winners and their guests enjoyed an exciting red carpet event in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, where they were treated to a champagne reception and three course lunch prior to the draw.
