Teen attacked at station

A TEENAGER was set upon by four youths and punched in the face in a bid to steal cash and a mobile phone at Portmarnock Dart Station.

The 16-year-old male victim of the attack was approached on the bridge at the platform of the station by four youths demanding his money at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 28. The teenager resisted and pushed one of his attackers away only to be punched twice in the face by another member of the gang. They began searching him and looking to steal his mobile phone but the teenager managed to get away and board a train. The incident was reported to local gardaí the following day who are now examining CCTV from the platform in a bid to identify the boy's attackers.
