Cllr Brian McDonagh (Lab) brought the issue to the attention of the council and asked what the local authority intended to do about 'ongoing problems with management and provision of parking at Fingal Cemetery, Balgriffin with particular regard to Residents in St. Samsons Court being blocked in during recent funerals and ongoing access problems for residents of Balgriffin cottages'.

The council reported: 'Fingal County Council's Building Control section has recently met with the developer of the St. Samson's Estate.

'The developer has agreed to install temporary double yellow lines and the management company enforced no parking signs along the edge of the temporary hoarding which should deter motorists from parking in this area.'

The local authority's traffic section said: 'Double yellow lines will also be installed along the Balgriffin Road to the left of the junction (as you exit St. Samson's Estate) subject to Garda approval. 'Double yellow lines have already been provided at the access to Balgriffin Cottages and Garda approval has been sought for a yellow box at this location.'
