COINCIDING with National Suicide Awareness week, the Alan Leetch Memorial Fund will host a community family fun day followed by a fundraising evening on Saturday, September 15 at Fingallians GAA grounds in Swords.
The Alan Leetch Memorial Fund was formed by a group of Alan's close friends and family in the wake of his death earlier this year with the aim of raising much needed funds for local and national charities which work to prevent suicide and create awareness of this growing problem in Ireland. The fun day runs from 1 - 6pm and includes children's carnival games, bouncing castles, a cake sale, BBQ, Petting Farm and 5 aside soccer tournament. The fun day will end with a GAA reunion match The evening fundraiser begins at 8pm and will consist of a raffle, auction, bingo and race night. The funds raised through this event will be used to support four charities which the committee has selected; Pieta House, Console, Irish Men's Group and the Fingal Suicide Bereavement Support Service.
