Special awards to celebrate the cream of local business


ONE OF the most important events in the calendar is the Fingal Business Excellence Awards and applications for this year's competition are now being sought.

Fingal Dublin Chamber is inviting all businesses in the region to participate in the Fingal Business Excellence Awards 2012. These annual awards, founded in 2002, celebrate business excellence in Fingal and pay tribute to the talent, drive, innovation and success of the business community in the area. ' This year's 20 awards celebrate and recognise the best businesses and organisations across all sectors of business. We are inviting each and every business woman and man to enter the Fingal Business Excellence Awards this year to showcase their achievements,' said chamber president Siobhan Moore. ' The Fingal Business Excellence Awards are now in their tenth year and continues to be the premier and most prestigious awards event for businesses operating in the Fingal region,' she said. Entry is free and the awards are open to all businesses/organisations, big and small, doing business in the region whether in retail, manufacturing, services or tourism/hospitality sectors. Companies can enter up to three categories but must fill out a separate entry form for each entry. Written submissions, which are required for 13 of the awards, must he returned by Friday, October 19. Templates for the submissions are available by email, fax or post from the chamber officer at 018900977 or from The chamber's media sponsorship programme with the Fingal Independent guarantees that all award winners will be promoted in the leading local newspaper. Spotcheck, the mystery shopping and business measurement-services company, will carry out the judging and will shortlist entries under each award to go forward to the final. The winners will be announced at the prestigious black-tie Gala Awards Presentation Evening sponsored by Fingal County Council and hosted by RTE's Marty Whelan on Friday, November 16th in the award winning Crowne Plaza Dublin Northwood.
