AN opera singer has taken the title of Malahide Young Musician of the Year this year after impressing judges with her wonderful voice.

The overall winner of the competition was 21-year-old, Dana Tanase Viorela from Malahide, whose operatic performance stole, not just the show, but the hearts of the audience too.

DAA was delighted to once again support the Malahide Young Musician Of The Year competition. The 34th annual event showcased the immense array of talent from the locality.

'This has been our most successful event so far with entrants representing every level of ability from beginner to very accomplished,' said event organiser Derek Keogh. 'We experienced some incredible performances and the results showed the great potential in the young people of Malahide.'
