A TOYOTA Avensis ended up on its roof just yards from a primary school just as parents were arriving to collect their children but miraculously only the driver was injured in the dramatic crash.

A 48-year-old man from Drogheda was driving the 2008 vehicle when he lost control around a notoriously dangerous 90 degree bend near Naul National School. According to Garda sources, the car went into a skid and the driver 'over-corrected' causing the car to it a ditch and flip onto its roof. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Beaumont Hospital but his injuries are understood to be minor. The incident happened at around 1.30pm, close to one of the busiest times of the day outside Naul National School but luckily, no school children were hurt by the accident.
