FROM ACCOUNTANCY advice to digital marketing tips, women in business throughout Fingal have a busy schedule of enterprising events to look forward to between now and February 2013.
The Fingal County Enterprise Board, through its Fingal Women in Business Network, has published its autumn/winter Network Diary which features six standalone events aimed at female business owners and managers. Kicking off on Thursday, August 30th, Sharon Kearns from SGK Accountancy Services will be helping women in business prepare for the important 2012 Tax Deadline.
The evening event, which is being held at the Grand Hotel in Malahide, will be focussed on giving advice and guidance to small business owners around their tax obligations. As part of Fingal Enterprise Week, a Speed Networking Event for members takes place on Thursday, October 4th at Roganstown Hotel and Golf Club in Swords. National Women's Enterprise Day takes place on October 18th and Network members are being invited to attend a two day conference in Portlaoise to mark this milestone event. Meanwhile, 'Digital Marketing for the Small Business' is being held on Tuesday, November 6th at the Carnegie Court Hotel in Swords with the final pre- Christmas event taking place on Tuesday, December 11th with the theme of ' Sales and Business Development.' The sixth and final event in the schedule, ' Clear and Critical Thinking for Small Business Owners', is taking place on Wednesday, February 6th at the Carlton Airport Hotel near Dublin Airport.
Launching the Autumn/Winter Network Diary, Oisin Geoghegan, CEO of Fingal County Enterprise Board said: 'When we were planning the Schedule of Events for the next seven months, we wanted to ensure that a wide range of subjects were included for members, which were practical, relevant and useful for small business owners and managers. ' The programme of events reflects that fact that Fingal run one of the most pro-active and largest networks of its kind in the country, catering for the needs of local women in business.' The Fingal Women in Business Network Manager, Eve Bulman, explained: 'It's becoming more important for small business owners and managers to network more effectively. The purpose behind these events is to help members gather expert information for their own businesses, share ideas with fellow entrepreneurs, whilst making important new business contacts along the way.'
The August 30th event with Sharon Kearns from SGK Accountancy Services runs from 6.30pm to 9pm at the Grand Hotel in Malahide and further information is available from www.fingalceb.ie/ wib or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
