A RUSH woman is one of 21 ecar ambassadors who have taken part in a major initiative to promote awareness about electric cars across the country.
Sandra Flavin will have a charge point installed in their home or workplace and will also power up by using the public charge point network that is being rolled out by ESB ecars and now covers 82% of all major towns and cities across the country.
Sandra works as an Environmental Education Officer with An Taisce's Green-Schools programme which involves raising awareness about the benefits of sustainable travel for schools and supporting children and their families to make greener travel choices.
She really believes in a more positive environmental legacy and she wants to use the ecar to be the best example of making her mileage greener. Sandra will also use the ecar to further explore the lakes, rivers, mountains, forests, bogs, beaches, cliffs and panoramas of our beautiful country, one charge point at a time. She is a parttime yoga teacher and also enjoys teaching classes and meditation retreats in North Dublin.
