HUNDREDS of schoolchldren turned green last week to play their part in unique and exciting competition entry.

Some 600 pupils from Holy Family school in River Valley descended on Swords Castle where their entry into Lidl's Haka-style competition was filmed.

The amazing sight of the pupils doing their version of the Haka as Gaeilge was recorded for their tw0-minute entry .

Lidl organised the competitiion to celebrate this year's 6 Nations Rugby which came to a dramatic conclusion last Saturday.

The lucky winners will receive a prize fund of €2,500 to help kit out their club.

The judges are looking for people to get creative in their communities and send us a two minute video of their version of the infamous Haka!

The closing date for entries was last Saturday and the winners will be announced this week.
