Offered ecstasy

AN ENGINEERING student from Malahide who offered drugs to plainclothes gardaí at a disco in a Dundalk hotel has had his case ajourned again when he appeared at Dundalk District Court last Thursday.

Gary McKenna, aged 23, from 117 Sea Park, Malahide, had admitted the offence, which happened at the Fairways Hotel on October 29 last when he offered 12 ecasty tables for sale to a plainclothes gardai. Solicitor Peter Lavery said his client had led a ' blameless life' apart from that one incident . There had been a positive Probation report. The case was put back until October.
