Non-display of tax and insurance

A WOMAN who drove a car which had no insurance or tax discs displayed has been fined €75 at Balbriggan District Court.

Clodagh Patterson of Fancourt Heights, Balbriggan pleaded guilty to non-display of insurance and tax discs when she was stopped by gardai on January 17th at Quay Street in Balbriggan. Her husband Mark who attended court explained to Judge Dermot Dempsey that he had taken the discs out of the car as the car had not been driven for a while. Judge Dempsey accepted that Patterson was insured on the car and fined her €75 for non-display of the insurance disc and took the non-display of tax disc into consideration.
