FINGAL COUNTY Enterprise Board have joined forces with some of the world's most respected technology companies and social media brands for next month's Fingal Enterprise Week to improve awareness of ' best practice' when it comes to new media, marketing, finance and on-line selling.
Working better in the digital age, management masterclasses with IBM and doing more business on-line with PayPal are all on the ' New Media and Technology' agenda for the Enterprise Week in Fingal. Representatives from IBM, Paypal, Sage, Facebook, Apple, Realex Payments and LinkedIn will be meeting small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs at three free events that week (October 1st to 5th), which is being supported by Fingal County Council, Bank of Ireland and Newstalk. On Monday, October 1st, the curtainraiser for Fingal Enterprise Week is the 'Working in a Digital Age' morning workshop at the Carlton Hotel, Dublin Airport. Chaired by Noel Davidson from QED, key experts will be discussing new media, new challenges and best practices for small businesses. The panel includes representatives from Facebook, Sage, Apple, LinkedIn, Realex Payments and Pristine Cleaning. Later that afternoon (October 1st) the Management Masterclass with IBM takes place at their Blanchardstown Headquaters in Dublin 15. Organised by Plato Dublin, IBM managers with expertise in Marketing and Finance will share their knowledge and ideas with small business owners. Meanwhile, on the second last day of Fingal Enterprise Week, Thursday, October 4th, Paypal will be discussing the future of online payments, mobile strategies and how small businesses can grow their on-line sales. Running from 2pm to 5pm, the Management Masterclass is being facilitated by Darren Glynn, a Senior Director with PayPal, and takes place at their Blanchardstown Headquarters in Dublin 15. Other expected highlights during Fingal Enterprise Week include the 'All Talk' seminar on October 4th at the Radisson Hotel in Dublin Airport. Chaired by Business Broadcaster, Conall O' Morain, the event will feature experienced journalists and media professionals, discussing how small businesses can get their business message out to the outside world more effectively.
