FINGAL-BASED DHL Express, the international express services company, has been recognised by Chambers Ireland and In Business magazine, as 'Best International Logistics Provider' and was presented with this prestigious award at the inaugural In Business Editor's Choice Awards.
Hosted by, Chambers Ireland and Ashville Media, publishers of In Business magazine on behalf of Chambers Ireland, the inaugural award ceremony took place in the Hibernian Club, Stephen's Green, Dublin on Wednesday 13th December, 2012 and honoured and recognised both companies and individuals who made outstanding contributions to the Irish business community in 2012. 'I'm delighted to accept this award on behalf of all the team at DHL Express Ireland,' said Bernard McCarthy, Managing Director, DHL Express Ireland. 'We have really focused this year on providing great service quality to all our customers and this award provides great recognition for everyone within the business who has worked so hard to make this a reality. It has been an excellent year for DHL Express in Ireland and winning this award provides further acknowledgement of the progress we have made and caps the year off very nicely indeed.' In winning the Best International Logistics Provider award, DHL Express demonstrated that despite challenging economic times it is still possible to improve service quality, as well as customer and employee satisfaction. Other important factors which were citied as significant in winning the award included, DHL's increase in market share, their much improved financial performance and DHL's advanced multi modal transportation infrastructure. All of which enables DHL's customers to compete effectively and connect effortlessly to their own partners, wherever they are in the world.
