Motorist banned for two years

A LUSK motorist has been disqualified from driving for two years and fined €250 after he failed to produce his insurance and driving licence within ten days of being stopped by gardai.

Nadezd Velicko of Village Road in Lusk pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving without a driving licence on March 2nd at Tesco in Rush. She also failed to produce her documents at a garda station within ten days. Garda Brendan O'Brien told the court that he stopped a car driven by the defendant and asked to see her driving licence and insurance. 'She did not have her documents with her and opted to produce at Lusk Garda Station but she failed to do so,' said Garda O'Brien. Her solicitor Mr Sean Brown said Velicko did mean to produce her documents in court but had to get documents from her home country. Judge Patrick Clyne disqualified Velicko from driving for two years and fined her €250.
