Lottery pumps €50,000 into hospital bus service

THE LOCAL bus service run by NIFTI to Beaumont Hospital is to be grantaided to the tune of €50,000 by the Department of Health through National Lottery funds.

The grant has been welcomed by Cllr Tom O'Leary (FG), who said: ' This Lotto grant is a very welcome development and will be of great assistance to NIFTI in providing the local transport service to Fingal patients and visitors to Beaumont Hospital. 'It is particularly important to rural Fingal residents who have very limited public transport services.' The Department of Health approved grant of €50,000 will go towards the cost of a new 18-seater bus with a wheelchair lift for NIFTI to be used on its vital Beaumont Hospital service.
