THE HARP Bar in Swords are holding their first ever Big Blue pub quiz this Friday from 7pm10pm in aid of The Mercy Cancer Appeal, The Mater Foundation and Cancer Care West, the beneficiaries in the Blue September Campaign.

The national campaign which runs throughout September includes ambassadors Ronan Keating, Ronan O'Gara and Alan Brogan. Its aim is to increase awareness of Male Cancers and raise money for Irish cancer charities The team at the Carnegie Court Hotel and Harp bar are delighted to be fundraising for such a great cause. This fun filled night is open to everyone; people are encouraged to enter teams (610 people) in the quiz to win the coveted Big Blue Trophy. Team entry cost is €40 and is all donated to charity. On the night there will be free finger food and a raffle with great prizes. A specially concocted blue cocktail 'Smurfey's Law' will be available to try and for each sold €1.00 of the proceeds will be donated to the Blue September Campaign. Following the quiz there will be great entertainment from a Blues Band and DJ, plus some special guests including a smurf or two! So bring along your team for a great's night craic at the Harp Bar that is guaranteed to raise a few smiles and much needed funds for charity.
