Senator Feargal Quinn, and granddaughters Holly and Kirsty, launch Beaumont Hospital Foundation's new fundraiser 'Silver Bells'.

A NEW online fundraising campaign called Silver Bells, has been launched by the Beaumont Hospital Foundation which invites the general public to buy a bell which the charity will then send, along with a personal message, to a friend, colleague or loved one, anywhere in the world.

The uniquely designed silver bell, costing €20 plus postage, has been created by Silversmith, Seamus Gill and is 100% Irish made. All proceeds from the sale of the bells will raise funds to bring about improvements in the care and conditions available to patients attending Beaumont Hospital. Speaking about the campaign, Padraic Walsh, Managing Director, Beaumont Hospital Foundation, said: 'With the help of designer, Seamus Gill, we have created a wonderful gift product which will fill the gap for anyone looking to send a gift with meaning this Christmas. You don't have to shop or wrap. Simply leave a message on our site at www.bhf.ie, make your purchase and we will do the rest for you.' Each Silver Bell hangs from a red ribbon which carries the message, ' The gentle ring of a silver bell reminds us of all we hold dear; health, family, love and friendship', and can be hung on the Christmas tree or in other household locations to act as a reminder of the sender. The bells come with a gift card and are packaged in attractive red gift bags. The bells can be purchased at www.bhf.ie, ordered by phone on 01-809 2161 or bought direct from the Beaumont Hospital Foundation desk in Beaumont Hospital.
