Jobs boost as two new stores open
OVER 30 POSTS CREATED IN PAVILIONS
TWO NEW stores have opened at the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Swords, creating over 30 jobs between them.
Schuh opened its 73rd standalone store at the centre, making it store number six in the city, while Irish firm Terrisales Salon Supplies, which has been supplying leading hair and beauty products for over 40 years, has also taken up an outlet. The Schuh shop will have a sales floor of around 1650ft and will bring around 35 jobs to the local area along with favourite footwear brands such as Converse, Vans, and TOMS to name but a few.
As well as selling a whole host of brands, schuh will also stock exclusive footwear ranges from Red or Dead and Momentum not forgetting their impressive own label for ladies and gents. 'Opening a new store always causes a certain amount of anticipation, however as we have a proven track record in Dublin we are excited to see the reaction to schuh in Swords,' said managing director Colin Temple.
Presenting the range in a clutter free manner on the shop floor has to be cleverly executed with over 80 brands to accommodate as well as a large own label collection. Skillful visual merchandising techniques and the use of a complimentary bright colour palette for display equipment creates an illusion of space and avoids overpowering the customer with too many choices. However, with temptation in every corner of the store it will be difficult to leave Schuh without buying those must have shoes.
Established in 1981 with the first store opening in Edinburgh, Schuh now have a huge online shop and an army of stores and concessions across mainland UK and ROI stocking over 80 brands.
